LABOR DAY MONDAY POKER TOURNAMENT

UPDATE: Monday, September 7th at 6PM.

Two $25 SNGs started the day.  30 Players showed up for today's Labor Day $100 Buyin at the Girdletree Firehouse.

Tournament play ended with a 5 way chop of $430 each at 5:10 PM.  There was a total prize pot of $2,150.  A $1/2 NL Game started in the afternoon and was still going on as of this post.  The fire company wishes to extend a thank you to those players for participating.

The Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company is holding a Labor Day Monday (September 7, 2009) Poker Tournament.  It's a $100 buyin with $75 towards the prize.  $10,000 in chips with 30 minute blinds throughout.  This poker tournament is being held in conjunction with Girdletree's Annual Labor Day Fundraiser so seats to the poker tournament have been limited to 70 due to available space.  Doors open at 10AM with $25 qualifying SNGs with the tournament being at 12 Noon.  Visit www.girdletree.org for more information.

 
Good Turnout Saturday At VFW

(UPDATE: 10:30PM ) 49 Players with 6 Reseats has made a good event at the Salisbury VFW.  It was a $150 Buyin with $30,000 in tournament chips and 30 minutes in blinds.  Its the first time since the April event that many players showed up on a Saturday charity event with the exception of last weeks Wicomico Civic Center event.  The benefit was for a local youth girls soccer team.  The Salisbury VFW put on another great event, inlcuding the overwhelming great food (again).  There are 2 cash games going on at this time.  A $1/2 and a $5/5.

Congratulations to Earl R. and Pam M. who split $1,800 for 1st and 2nd. Ben R. won 3rd, for $1,200 , 4th place Brendon K. $1,020, and Vicky S. $640.

 
3rd Annual Summer Poker Classic Was A Huge Success

The 3rd Annual Summer Poker Classic was held at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center on Saturday, August 22, 2009.  This year’s event was a huge success with 314 Players entering the Main Event.  In addition to the main event there was a second chance tournament, eight cash tables and twelve various SNGs ran during the day.  67 Players entered the 2nd chance tournament.

Three $250 SPC Seats awarded Sunday in Girdletree

UPDATE: Sunday, August 16th @ 6:45PM - 18 Players entered today's Qualifying Satellite at the Girdletree Firehouse.  They all voted to change the format to a straight $50 buyin with $10,000 in chips   Three (3) $250 SPC Seats were for grabs.  4th Place won $25.  A $1/2 game lasted until the satellite was over.

Jeff Rantz takes 4th and $93,000 in the Borgata's $500,000 Guarantee!

UPDATE: Thursday, August 6, 2009, 12PM. Local Salisbury VFW Tournament Director Jeff Rantz took 4th place in the Borgata's $500,000 Guaranteed Deep Stack $1,500 Buy in.  His play ended at 1AM and he won $93,000 for his efforts.  Jeff took a big hit around 10PM last night and was short stack when there were 9 players left.  According to Gordon M., "He played that short stack like a Pro".   If you play tonight at the Salisbury VFW's regular Thursday night tournament before to cogratulate Jeff.
