Local Charity Poker Tournament Director had a good time and good words for last Saturday's Ridgely Firehouse poker tournament. Jeff Rantz, Tournament Director for the Salisbury VFW and Salisbury Moose and the new Assistant Director of the Civic Center Events, reports. He came in 5th in the tournament and had a good time. Update: Friday, November 27th @ 9PM. - The 2nd Annual Salisbury Moose Lodge's Black Friday Tournament(s) were a huge success!
39 Players with many reseats made for a great 8AM "Early Bird" $50 Buyin Tournament. The 12 Noon $150 Buyin Deep Stacks Main Event saw 94 Players with 5 Reseats and a $3,000+ 1st place prize. The Main Event was paying 10 Places. When this Webmaster went out in 24th Place in the Main Event the third, the 6:30PM "Knockout" Event had over 40 players. Many SNG's and cash games continued throughout the day. Congratulations to Jeff Rantz, Bill King, their wives, Cheryl and Joan with Rick Niblett and Wayne and Chris. They did an excellent job putting the 2nd Annual Black Friday Tournament(s) together. Look in the forum later over the weekend for the winners list. 3rd Annual Fall Poker Classic is Now History |
The 3rd Annual Fall Poker Classic at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland was held Saturday, November 14th.
219 players entered this 3rd Annual event. The event was a $250 Buyin and players received $20,000 in chips with 30 minute blinds throughout. Cards were in the air at 10:10AM and 3 players were eliminated on the first hand.
The morning started off typical like the previous 8 Civic Center events. Over 40 players were waiting when the doors opened at 8AM. In all 10 $60 Qualifying Satellites were held, putting 20 players into the event. When the Box Office closed Friday night there were 125 pre-registered. When the walkins, SNG winners and reseats were done, 219 players had entered the 3rd Annual Fall Poker Classic. A low number, but a good time seemed to be had by all.

Halloween Weekend Charity Poker |
Update: Sunday, November 1, 2009 6PM - 20 Players so far for the first 3rd Annual Fall Poker Classic Qualifying Satellite at the Girdletree Firehouse. After the addon, players are playing for 6 FPC seats that a 1 in 4 chance of winning!
Today is the start of the 3rd Annual Fall Poker Classic Qualifying Satellites begin. The Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a $40 Super Satellite Tournament starting at 2PM with 2 Guaranteed FPC $250 Seats. One seat for every $250 in prize pool. The buyin does not include refreshments. Doors open at 12 Noon with $15 SNG. The Buyin is $40 with a $25 Addon if you make it to the END of the 4th level. $5,000 in tournament chips for both the $40 and the $25 addon.

Weekend Charity Poker (10/24 - 10/25/09) |
UPDATE: Sunday, October 25th @ 8:30PM. - Last hand at the Easton VFW was dealt at 8:20PM. Vince and Milton chopped, chip proportionate with Vince taking $1,920 and Milton taking 2nd and $1,650. 3rd Place was Mark S. and got $950 and Chris "Truck" took 4th and $230. A total of 39 players were in the tournament and a $1/2 Cash Game last until 9PM.
