Sharptown American Legion had 15 players for their latest Monthly Saturday $80 Knockout, with 1 reseat. They paid three spots with top prize about $420. Steve and his wife, Pam, along with Trish took the money. This tournament was a GREAT TIME and alot of fun. Members of Sharptown American Legion do their VERY BEST to roll out the carpet for POKER PLAYERS.

| Local Player Finishes 37th in Ceasar's WSOP Main Event |

Local Delmarva Poker Player John LeCato from Quinby, Virginia finished 37th out of 442 players in Ceasar's WSOP $1,600 Buyin event. The tournament was a two day event and was played Friday and Saturday, March 11th and 12th. John picks up $2,800 for his win. Congratulations John!

| March 12th Girdletree Tournament now a $5,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool |
Saturday, March 12th - Girdletree Firehouse. UPDATE 7PM:
Two Satellites ran and put 4 players in the $5,000 Guarantee for just $35. The Main Event, a $150 Buy with $20,000 in chips started at 11AM. 39 Players entered the $5,000 Guarantee Tournament. The last hand was dealt at 6:45PM. The tournament was played all the way and there was never a mention of a chop. The winners were as follows, first place to fifth. Todd "IG" Lewis, Marty Fisher, Rick Nibbett., Guy Edgar the "IV", and Bill Ingrahm. The prizes were 1st, $2,000; 2nd, $1,400; 3rd, $900; 4th, $500; 5th, $200. Frank W. was on the Bubble and Angela Mc. went out in 7th.
This was the 3rd in a Series of 6 Value Added Tournaments. $150 Buyin with $20,000 in chips, 30 minute blinds. This month's tournament will feature a $5,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool!
The 3rd in a Series of 6 Value Added Charity Poker Tournaments will NOW have a GUARANTEED $5,000 Prize pool, paying a mininum of 5 place REGARDLESS OF PLAYERS! The Guaranteed Prizes are:
1st - $2,000
2nd - $1,400
3rd - $900
4th - $500
5th - $200

The Sharptown American Legion held their monthly $80 Bounty Tournament. 13 Players showed up and they paid 2 places. With the bounty, $800 in cash was paid out. 1st Place was $400 and 2nd Place $270. No chop took place and two women won the tournament. Congratulations to Angela Mc. and Trudy D. for 1st and 2nd respectfully. Pat L. was on the bubble. As a reminder the Sharptown American Legion will hold a monthly event the last Saturday of every month now through October.

UPDATE: Saturday, February 19, 2011 @ 7PM. 35 Players Entered Today's Event. Prizes today were 1st, $1,750; 2nd, $1,050 & 3rd, $700. Each player bought the $20 Addon which is being paid back 100%. Those prizes are $10 for each player knockout, $350 and $350 for the bubble. So total prize money paid today is $4,200 CASH. No Chop was discussed until the final three remained. They chopped $1,200, $1,100 & $1,100. Congratulations to Barry B, Todd L. (IG), & Frank F. The bubble ($350 from Addon) was Steve K.. The bubble/bubble got $80 and was Brian U.
Saturday, February 19th at the Girdletree Firehouse, the 2nd of a series of 6 Value Added Tournaments will take place. It's a $150 Buyin with a $20 Optional Addon (100% Paid Back to Players), $20,000 in chips, 30 minute blinds.
